In order to effectively improve the international dialogue ability and global competence of the faculty members, and accelerate the promotion of the "double first-class" construction, the Teacher Teaching Development Center, Teachers’ Work Department of University CPC Committee and Office of Global Engagement jointly launched the JLU Faculty Workshop on Global Competence aiming to continuously improve teachers teaching skills and teachers’ quality in the process of ‘double first-class’ Internationalization. The specific content is as follows:

1. Workshop time

From May 14th to June 18th, 2021, every Friday night from 20:30-22:00, lectures will be carried out through the ZOOM video conference platform.

2. Language

The language of the workshop is English. Teachers who sign up for the course need to be proficient in English.

3. Teaching staff

This online workshop is taught and guided by a team of dedicated teachers set up by the University of Kentucky in the United States.

4. Teaching content

The content of the workshop includes "How to cultivate students' curiosity, participation and enthusiasm in online teaching", "How to engage students in classroom discussion", "Group activities and collaborative learning", "Using cloud platform to promote interactive learning", "Homework design and "Feedback" and other 5 courses.

5. The number of recruits

This workshop will recruit 30-40 teachers. The final list of trainees will be determined by the project organizer after the University of Kentucky assessment test.
